Still haven’t figured out how to level up faster in Modern Warfare 2? It’s about to get easier with a “weekend” of double XP for Xbox 360 owners. It’s actually a pretty long weekend, starting later today and running through Monday, April 5. This is according to a Tweet from Robert Bowling, creative strategist for MW2 developer Infinity Ward. He didn’t say what time the double experience will kick in, but I’ll post an update when we find out or when it happens. (Update: Double XP is live now on all playlists.)

Also starting today, Infinity Ward will update all playlists to include the new maps in Modern Warfare 2′s “stimulus package,” released yesterday on Xbox Live for $15. Fortunately, you don’t need to play the new maps to get double XP, and you’ll still be able to matchmake with everyone regardless of whether you purchased the stimulus package. Bowling confirmed that double XP applies to all maps and playlists.     I don't suppose you know if All EXP will be doubled for the weekend do you? I wathinking maybe your Challenge XP might be doubled as well, for instance the 10k XP you get when leveling a weapon or perk. That would be sweet! If you have this info please let us know! I'm sure I'm not the only 1 who has thought of this. Thanks Jobud

    usually everything is doubled except for the match bonus i dont think that will be doubled that would be pro if it is though

    Alright! I sure hope so! I have been saving most my 10k XP for this, it would be a waste if it didn’t get doubled. I should have over 400k XP coming my way if this all works out :) Thanks for the post! JoBud

    Anybody can confirm this for the PC? I have just spent about 2 hours in MW2 getting normal exp on everything…
