World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Revealed, With Trailer
By Jared NewmanHere we go again. Blizzard has officially taken the wraps off World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the next expansion pack for the wildly popular MMO. It’s hard to make any World of Warcraft trailer look good, what with the game’s fairly rigid graphics and all, but there you go. The plot sees the return of Deathwing the Destroyer, causing an eruption from Deepholm that leaves much of Azeroth scorched. As such, much of Azeroth’s familiar terrain will be transformed, making old zones in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimor worth another visit. A war of the elements breaks out as horde and alliance race towards the source of the eponymous cataclysm, but who cares about that? More importantly, you’ll get two new playable races — the wolf-like Worgen for the alliance and the Goblins for the horde — and the level cap is being raised to 85. If you’re not into WoW, sorry if this all lost upon you. Otherwise, check out Blizzard’s handy FAQ for all the details except pricing and release date, which are still unknown. [via MTV Multiplayer]
