Walkthrough Wednesday: Madden NFL 11 Hints, Cheats and Strategy

Another August brings another Madden game from EA Sports, and we’ve got links to the best Madden NFL 11 hints, cheats and strategy guides from around the web. IGN is building a strategy guide, but a lot of the strategy is very basic. Still, the site has a full list of stats and ratings for every team and player in Madden 11, which might be easier to peruse than the in-game menus. If you’re a noob, this GameFAQs thread on avoiding interceptions could also be helpful.

Now, let’s get into some deeper strategies and tricks. One exploit that’s making the rounds is “4 Man Nano,” which allows for easy QB sacks. Madden-School has a video of the play, and describes it this way:

Hot route your MLB (Or anyone else you want to blitz) to a QB Spy

Blitz your defensive lineman straight down

Simply user the player that you have in a qb spy and run through the line for an easy sack

On offense, Madden-School notes that Strong Close (WR Out) can be a money passing play. Again, there’s a video, and a couple pointers:

1. If your opponent is in man to man defense, your fullback should be open for a nice 5-10 yard gain
2. If your opponent is in zone defense, your outside left wide receiver should be [open] for a nice catch and run
