Walkthrough Wednesday: Fable 3 Hints, Tips and Cheats
By Jared Newman
Time to go back to Albion and start a revolution in Fable 3, but before you go, get some help from the best walkthroughs, hints and tips around the Web. To get started, I recommend using the Fable 3 Wiki as a reference. There’s still a lot of missing information, but you’ll eventually find detailed descriptions of weapons, clothing, jobs, missions and side quests. For walkthroughs, Video Games Blogger is building a YouTube video guide, and IGN has a written walkthrough in progress.
As usual, IGN is also working on a guide to other aspects of Fable 3, including a list of all demon doors, rare books and gnomes. You may also want to check out the Fable 3 guide at StrengthGamer, which currently has all key locations. For a detailed rundown on every legendary weapon in the game, head back to Video Games Blogger, which tells you where to find each weapon, the damage inflicted at all levels and any attainable bonuses.
There’s just one cheat I’ve heard of in Fable 3, and it’s for infinite gold. As described in the GameFAQs forums:
first make a dummy profile
dummy joins game
main character gives gold and items to be duped to dummy
dummy saves
dummy rejects and leaves game
dummy loads
dummy rejects and leaves game
rinse repeat
No telling how long that glitch will last, so act now if you want to avoid, you know, actually enjoying the game.

ive been sick all week so i beat the game the first day it came out and i am stuck wondering why all my stores are vacant and i can not purchas anything from any shops and there are dead bodies everywhere but i did not kill them can someone explain why this happend
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 2:28PM
happend to me too dave, i own over 60% of the shops and homes now but its cause you wanted to be a good king. If you choose to make all the money when your a king you will actually save all the people i believe. Im going to create a new account and try it out
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 8:07PM
the only way to have the people still be alive after the darkness attacks is the pick all of the evil choices while you are king.
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 8:45PM
Obviously you chose to be good and had your kingdom go bankrupt due to good choices, correct? Well if so, due to the fact that your people weren't prepared they were all slaughtered.
I think being evil near the end or balancing it can help fix that
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 8:50PM
So i have to pick the evil option every single time for everyone to survive?
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 9:03PM
I found if you wait to comlete the year before the darkness quest and make enough money to keep the promises and improve the land you can save all the civilians and get the achievement
hope that helps!
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 9:07PM
eventually all the citizens come back.
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 9:26PM
but how long is eventually
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 10:09PM
nope u just gotta make sure u got enough cash before the attack happens its pretty easy i just bought all shops and houses and then let the money roll in
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 11:58PM
before you start the year before the darkness quest buy every building you can and max out the rent ( the civilians we hate you over time but that can be fixed) then just sit and wait if you own everything you should earn about 180,000 every 5 mins, so just wait till you have about 10 or 15 mil and then start the quest and you can choose the good path and still pay for everything because you can transfer money from your treasury to the kingdom treasury
Thursday, October 28, 2010 12:11AM
How exactly does this year before the darkness progress? Is it completing key quests? Or does it use the game’s internal clock (like what determines day/night and rent)?
Thursday, October 28, 2010 1:01AM
yeah how long does it take for the people to come back
Thursday, October 28, 2010 4:20AM
I'd figure that working your bum off, renting all the livable buildings and having all shops in the game, you'd be able to make all the good choices as a king and still save the kingdom…but bloody hell, it must make you one old geezer…
Thursday, October 28, 2010 8:12AM
The way to winning while still being good is actually rather easy…it just involves a lot of work.
Create a new game, and proceed through the buildup to overthrowing Luther UNTIL you unlock the Entrepreneur ability on the Road to Rule.
STOP PURSUING OTHER QUESTS FOR NOW.
Start working your favorite job and leveling it up as much as possible on the Road to Rule. Start to buy all the businesses (BUSINESSES ONLY) in all of Albion. This is for two reasons: 1) you will eventually be making enough on the tithe that you can keep buying buildings without working a job 2) owning businesses instead of renting homes doesn't negatively affect your good/evil factor.
At some point, if you're feeling brave, you can start to buy homes and spruce them up to keep the renters happy, just be sure to keep the rent low so that they STAY happy.
Keep doing this until you own most of Albion BEFORE you overthrow Luther.
Then it's just a waiting game. You can take all the super-benevolent choices, everyone loves you, and you can just sit idle and let the cash roll in to offset all your awesome choices to be nice to everyone.

i already defeated darkness and now i cant find a wedding ring anywere to give to elise and the shops are almost all closed down cause i cudnt save enough people. how can i get a ring?
Friday, October 29, 2010 6:51PM
do the people ever come back? new people to run the shops etc? and if I start a new game will my old game be deleted?
Saturday, October 30, 2010 1:54PM
his name's logan
Saturday, October 30, 2010 7:09PM
Yeah, i feel lonely, everyone is gone. So much for choosing good.
Monday, November 1, 2010 10:42AM
Thats what i was about to say
Wednesday, November 3, 2010 5:15PM
Easy: you were a good king before the (spoiler) shadow war. This let your treasury go bankrupt, and your people weren't prepared. Welcome to doomsday.
Wednesday, November 3, 2010 5:17PM
i am wondering the same thing about the ppl dont have the answer yet but you can create a new game without deleting the old one when u turn the game on it will go right to the game u played last u go to the save menu and load game to change heros
Thursday, November 4, 2010 9:04PM
u can have multiple saves… u just have to go to the menu screen to load one of them
Saturday, November 6, 2010 12:25AM
you dont need to be evil, just buy every business+house. by the time i was ruler i had 10,000,000. no evilness required:)
Sunday, November 7, 2010 12:08PM
In order to save the people and keep all your promises, you must continue to do the quests and buy as many houses and shops as you can. Do not go up on the rent, instead purchase new furniture and redecorate each home and the rent will adjust automatically. Do not go back to the castle until you have enough money to cover all expenses. At the top of the screen you will see you will need 65,000000 but you will need about 20,000000 for extra expenses. Transfer all the money you make from your personal account to the kingdom account. The year goes by every time you go to court and have to make a decision. Once you have made the money to cover all expenses you will be able to keep all your promises and save all the townspeople. Your personal account will continue to grow, just keep transferring funds to the kingdom…you do not have to answer anything evil.
Monday, November 8, 2010 6:11AM
you can still earn your £6.5 mill and keep all your promises, it just takes a hell of a lot longer
Monday, November 8, 2010 6:12AM
its worked out by completing 5 – 7 days woth of appointments given to you in the castle no where near a year so be prepared
Monday, November 8, 2010 6:13AM
sleep for a month
Wednesday, November 10, 2010 7:54PM
even if everything is evil it is still vacant everywhere… why?
Saturday, November 13, 2010 12:21PM
I wasdoing the quest when you join the three mages little game and shrink, but then i saved when i was doing that. Then the next day i joined again and for some odd reason my player wasnt even on the little map and now i'm stuck and now i can't complete the game! HELP!!!
Sunday, November 14, 2010 6:05PM
The game says "expected causalities" or something like that. Basically if the treasury doesn't have a big enough sum of money everyone dies when the darkness finally comes.
Tuesday, November 16, 2010 10:58AM
no the reason why im reading this is cause it happend to me i was evil in the game and my treasury in the castle had allot of money annd the same thing happend to me!! i though if i tried to be good it wont happen this suck bro
Saturday, November 20, 2010 8:07AM
i like what jon says i will try that
Monday, November 29, 2010 9:25PM
no it wont u just go to load game wear the options are and u have to have alot of money wen u defeat the darkness cuz every peace is worth one ppl being bad wont do anything
Monday, November 29, 2010 9:36PM
u no u can only save ppl if ur good u geet alot of gold
Tuesday, December 7, 2010 7:12PM
It doesn’t matter whether you’re good or evil, as long as your treasury has at least 6.5 million gold when the shadow attacks, then noone dies. You can choose all god or all bad or mix the choices, it doesn’t affect the outcome at all.
Wednesday, December 15, 2010 9:12AM
not true. the way i did it was when you become king, withdraw about 500,000, then go buy ALL the shops (use the santuary map to do this faster) then start buying all the houses when you get enough, repair them all before renting them. Also set all prices to max, this just makes it all happen quicker. after you do all this youll earn about 150,000 every 5 mins. just dont complete your king duties too fast and give yourself time to save,
Tuesday, December 21, 2010 12:51AM
my kingdom not bankrupt nut my caracter is bankrupt in treasury is 0 how to make easy money….?
Thursday, December 23, 2010 10:57AM
There is a way to get all your civilians back wen theyre all dead from darkness, it takes abit of work but just buy all the houses and rent them at highest rate, save up around 10 mill and put into treasury and then people come back. Happy saving lol ^_^
Monday, December 27, 2010 6:30AM
you don’t have to buy all the shops or all the houses to make money and keep your people alive. Your all trying way to hard.
1. Disconnect from x box live
2. Set year on console to earliest date (2005)
3. Start new game
4. After unlocking the package that allows you to rent houses start buying out all of dwellers town. After the third or forth house they buy themselves. No need to adjust rent.
5. After you get all the houses in dwellers town (about 10) save the game and exit to the dashboard
6. Take out game
7. Shut down then turn on
8. Set date on console to latest date (2025?)
9. Repeat step 7
10. Insert game and watch money skyrocket.
Note: DO NOT INSTALL TO HARDDRIVE
you install the game it will run a lot smoother but will make the time glitch not work for some reason.

If you choose to be good you have to save up about $7,000,000 of your own money and donate it to the royal treasury before the final battle. this is because the only way to save everyone is to have that much money. If you choose to be bad then you dont usually have to donate anything because all of the bad judgements will net you about that much anyway.
Wednesday, December 29, 2010 10:45PM
is it posobal to get the sword from the quest the game in bowerstone market if it is how do i get it
Saturday, January 8, 2011 3:33AM
easy way to get people back:
1.) marry a villager and pick the most expensive ceremony.
2.) sleep for 14 days. (approx.)
3.) dont lose them in the first place! before the patch came through that fixed the gold and item multiplication glitch, quite the number of players horded massive amounts of gold and weapons. i believe if you ask nicely they will spare you the 6 million you need to save your kingdom.
Thursday, January 20, 2011 12:46PM
I noticed that after I beat the game and almost everyone was dead, I got someone to love me and when we got married, the people came back, all the dead people in the streets disappeared and game went back to normal

here's a easier way to get money first
put player 2 in
then give all your money to player 2 as a gift
then go to the santuary and reject all of the gift
and log player 2 out
then do the same method over and over again ive gotten about 10-20 million from that cheat

Friday, March 11, 2011 6:03AM
Dude, it's so easy. Time only progresses as you complete key quests. Mine has been at 299 days for a few days now. I have been making 80k every 5 minutes and using it to buy more property and businesses, while doing other quests to get more seals and exploring. I'm still finding tons of keys, chests, and dig spots, which also help me get money. I am just going to wait till I have all the money (wont take very long) and put is in the castle vault. The goal is 6.5 Million. You also have 6.5 million citizens. If you only have 1 million by the end of the year, 5.5 million people will die. Its a dollar per person ratio. I'll keep making money and make all the good choices and still have enough by day 0 to save all my people. P.S. – Fable 3 rocks my balls off
