It’s not earth-shattering news by any means, but with Gamestop revealing its midnight launch plans for Brütal Legend and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, this is service journalism at its best. So here’s how it works: You can show up at 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, but if it’s one of those super lame Gamestops where every one stands around and tries to outnerd each other with their already-encyclopedic knowledge of both games, you may want to wait until closer to midnight. Check the official list of participating stores (PDF) and call your local ‘stop to gauge when you should arrive. It helps to reserve a copy beforehand, and if you do so for Uncharted 2, you’ll be able to use the “Revenge” booster in multiplayer right from the get-go.
