Looks like the art department at IGN had some fun creating posters for old-school video game power-ups. I’d praise the idea as creative and original, except that we’ve seen something a lot like this already. Readers of GamerCrave might recognize the worn paper art style and stark text from Steve Thomas’ arcade game propaganda posters, which we’ve written about here and here. There’s no mention of Thomas at IGN, so I’m assuming he wasn’t involved and that IGN’s art team was either inspired by his work or had a similar idea on its own.

None of this is to say the posters aren’t amusing. There are a dozen total, and you can download them all in 1800-by-2700 resolution, which should work nicely for making your own prints. I’m a fan of “Solid Smokes” and “Lon Lon Milk,” but not together. [IGN via Nerd Bastards]
