The Legend of Zelda Now on Hulu, Just as Painful to Watch
By Jared Newman
Wax nostalgic about classic video games all you want, but one thing that definitely wasn’t better about late ’80s gaming was The Legend of Zelda cartoons. The TV series aired as part of the marginally-better Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and transformed Link from a stoic, wordless hero into a bumbling idiot. Now you can relive those sugar cereal Saturdays on Hulu, where all 13 The Legend of Zelda episodes currently reside. Yes, there was more to the show than that one, dreaded, grating tagline. Actually, there’s even a subtle bit of adult humor early in the first episode, but no thanks, I’d prefer to remember the Nintendo cartoons as something I actually got excited about. [Hulu via Kotaku]
