Ideally, a video game compilation tides people over for some related game down the road, but that may not be the case for Sony’s God of War Collection. 1UP reports that both Gamestop and Target posted spring 2010 release dates for the compilation, which will include God of War and God of War II on Blu-ray. Now, I’m seeing that Gamestop has restored the release date of November 17, 2009, while Target’s April 1, 2010 release date still stands. There’s no official word from Sony, so we’ll have to sit tight for an answer (or, as was the case with Sega and Alpha Protocol, watch the publisher stay silent as the supposed release date drew near). If the God of War Collection is released next spring, hopefully there will some added incentive to buy beyond a demo for God of War III, which is due for release around the same time. [via 1UP]
