Press the PS button to pull up the XMB (cross-media bar) right after clicking X to load your game (right before the close up of the character loading screen should start). Should allow the game to load normally. Press PS button to exit XMB once the level begins and back to enjoying the rest of Heavy Rain! Just make sure to turn on the XMB between scenes.
