Shocker: Gran Turismo 5 Delayed

Sony swears that Gran Turismo 5 will be released this holiday season, but what would the launch be without one more delay to a date unknown? At E3, Sony pegged a November 2 release date for Gran Turismo 5. After years of push-backs, and an announcement in January that the game would be delayed indefinitely, the firm date was exciting news. And now it’s been erased.
Sony’s Official Playstation Blog says more time is needed to perfect the game. “We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches,” said Taku Imasaki, the game’s producer.
At least it’ll still be out in time for Christmas. Or will it? [Sony via IGN]
