Rise of Nightmates to be Released in June?
By Joseph Oliveto
The technology of Kinect is definitely impressive–if you don’t think so, you haven’t been looking it up on the internet enough–but as of now, you could be justified for being reluctant to pick one up; there just aren’t enough games available yet to make it truly revolutionary.
Thankfully, we have games like Rise of Nightmares to look forward to, and according to G4 it may finally have a release date.
There hasn’t been an official announcement yet regarding a release date, but The British Board of Film Classification has rated it and given it a June 15 release date. Could they know something that we don’t?
Yeah, most likely. However, what few people know right now is whether or not the game itself will be any good. Hopefully so; those of us familiar with the Kinect technology know that it has the potential to be a lot more than a slightly modified Wii, and it’s jujst a matter of time that enough fun games are released to take full advantage of all the potential that is clearly there.
You wouldn’t expect a horror game to make the best use of the Kinect, but apparently it will allow gamers to use various weapons from a first-person perspective. Which, let’s face it, is exactly what we want.
Do you think Kinect is worth the price tag just yet?
