Resident Evil 5 Second DLC Details Revealed

Remember Resident Evil 5? That game was pretty good, but missing from discussions on Game of the Year. Still, Capcom knows you loved it, and is prepared to provide more with a second downloadable content package. Entitled “Desperate Escape,” it’ll feature series mainstay Jill Valentine and Delta team member Josh Stone as they attempt to flee the facilities of Tricell and meet up with RE5 stars Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar. The episode is said to take place towards the end of Resident Evil 5’s events, with Jill and Josh racing to give the main characters a hand against villain Albert Wesker.

New outfits for Chris and Sheva will also be included for use in Mercenaries mode. “Desperate Escape” is due out in March 3 for Xbox 360 and a day later for Playstation 3, but pricing wasn’t disclosed. A previously-announced DLC offering, “Lost in Nightmares,” is coming in February. It details Chris and Jill’s pursuit of Wesker — events that were shown only briefly in Resident Evil 5 — at the Spencer Estate in 2006. A “Gold” edition, to be sold as a boxed retail copy for $50 on March 9, will comprise the main game and both additional episodes. No word on whether PC users will get any of this extra stuff.
