Playstation 3 Motion Controller Set for Spring 2010
By Benjamin Opal
It may not have a snappy nickname like the Wiimote, or a cool-sounding code name like Project Natal, but Sony’s Playstation 3 has a motion controller too, and it’s still scheduled for a spring 2010 release. Yes, we already knew that the controller was coming in the spring, because Sony said as much when it unveiled the project during E3. At least we know it’s still on schedule. Sony’s motion controller is like a cross between the Wii Remote and the controller-free Project Natal, combining full-range precision with a button-clad device. From the demos at E3, it also seems to appeal more to the hardcore gamer set, with sword fighting and arrow hunting on display. All we need now is the actual form factor (the above photo is just a prototype) and some actual games to salivate over. [via USA Today]
