ps2 portable Playstation 2 Portable: Not to be Confused With PSP2

As if the handheld GameCube mod from Techknott wasn’t enough, Raizer04 has completed his portable Playstation 2. Dubbed the Knight Raizer, it’s not the first PS2 portable mod I’ve ever seen — Ben Heck created one, as did Brian Gardiner — but this mod has the distinction of using a USB thumb drive and PC backups for game storage. No need to carry around a stack of DVDs or to worry about scratching the optical disc reader.

Aesthetically, Knight Raizer is not the most gorgeous portable game console mod around, but it does have a sweet LED light at the top, just because. Cased in the husk of an old Lazer Doodles electronic toy, the portable PS2 is finished with black paint, some metal work and a lighted case fan. It’s actually a Logitech controller that comprises the shoulder buttons, and a modded psOne LED for the screen, with lots of Bondo holding everything together. Cool stuff.
