No More Heroes 2 Trailer: Holy 8-Bit Awesomeness!
By Jared NewmanOkay, so there isn’t much new stuff in this trailer for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, but I dare you not to crack a smile while watching it. While the last trailer we posted gives a more general overview of the game, which again stars Travis Touchdown in his quest to fell the world’s greatest and wackiest assassins, this one, courtesy of GoNintendo, focuses solely on the 8-bit parts of No More Heroes 2.
I’m not even sure there’s more to see in this trailer than the last one, but let’s go over the 8-bit offerings here: So far, I see Travis collecting coconuts that fall from trees along a 2-D plane, flipping burgers for a hungry diner, racing in a motorcycle across the desert, kicking dumbells in a boxing arena, doing something with Tetris-style blocks and arranging pipes in a Pipe Mania clone. I’m also stoked for the chiptunes that will accompany these tasks. As we learned from the last trailer, these segments will replace the odd jobs performed in the first game, and should give them more appeal to those who criticized this part of the game last time around. After all, everything 8-bit turns to gold. No More Heroes 2 is due out for the Wii in January 2010. [via GoNintendo]
