Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer No Dedicated Servers for PC Modern Warfare 2, Gamers Petition

Somehow, PC gamers got to believing that the video game industry is a democracy, and so they’re petitioning the lack of dedicated servers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. If you’re a console gamer, blissfully unaware of what this means, dedicated servers are machines whose sole purpose is to host online games, distributing data evenly among players. The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 will instead adopt a console-style approach of matchmaking, setting up games automatically and designating one player as the host in a peer-to-peer connection. But PC gamers love their dedicated servers, and have set up an online petition, gathering over 60,000 signatures so far. I felt kind of bad for them until I saw this video. [CVG via Destructoid]
