Protip: Don’t Buy a Nintendo DSi or DSi XL Until September 12

Unless you’re really impatient or enjoy spending more money than necessary, you ought to wait on buying that Nintendo DSi or DSi XL until September 12, when Nintendo will cut prices on both. Each model will receive a $20 price cut, dropping to $150 for the DSi and $170 for the DSi XL. There’s no price cut for the Nintendo DS Lite, which remains at $130, and no news on the Nintendo 3DS, whose price and release date remains unknown.
If you absolutely cannot wait until September 12, here’s one good deal I dug up from the always-helpful Slickdeals: Right now, Dell sells a white Nintendo DSi with the game Brain Age for $200, but the price drops to $150 if you enter the coupon code 4HDMVW6G$408ST. That’s the same price as after the price drop, plus a free game. I’ve tried the code and confirmed that the offer is valid until Thursday, September 2. [via Engadget]
