Name Your Price for World of Goo
Oct 13, 2009 - By Jared Newman

Left 4 Dead? Fallout 3? Fable II? Feh. The best game of 2008 was arguably World of Goo, a wondrous place with a Dr. Seuss art style and endearing little goo balls that provide the building blocks for wobbling, gelatinous towers. The game beautifully maintained the balance between simple design and challenging play, and it was worth every penny of its then-$15 to $20 price tag. But if the thought of paying so much for a little indie game scared you, here’s your chance: The developer, 2D Boy, is celebrating World of Goo’s first birthday with a pay-what-you-wish sale. Plunk down whatever price you like through Paypal (no Paypal account required), and you’ll get your choice of the game’s Windows, Mac or Linux versions, from the download portal of your choice. You’ve got until October 19, so head to 2D Boy’s Web site and slurp it up. [via 1UP]
