Medal of Honor’s Answer to Eminem: Linkin Park

By

Not to be outdone by Eminem’s musical support for Call of Duty: Black Ops, Electronic Arts has enlisted Linkin Park to promote the rival first-person shooter Medal of Honor. The video above is a trailer for Medal of Honor featuring “The Catalyst,” Linkin Park’s first single from the album A Thousand Suns. The band’s turntablist, Joe Hahn, directed the video, which has the amount of angst you might expect from Linkin Park.

Previously, Eminem’s track “Won’t Back Down” appeared in a trailer for Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which was arguably just as angsty. The rapper also performed at a blowout Activision preview event before E3 2010.

Linkin Park will lend another, yet-unnamed song to the actual Medal of Honor game. Eminem will be doing something similar, but to what capacity isn’t clear. I do think it would be awesome if Linkin Park and Medal of Honor were targets of a future Eminem rap takedown. [via Game Culture]
