Max Payne 3 Details Revealed

Max Payne 3 is indeed on its way. Recently we reported that a couple of screenshots revealed via the official Rockstar Studios Twitter account suggested that the game was still very much in development.
Now, according to Computer and Video Games, we’ve got confirmation of that news, as well as some cool details about the game itself.
Edge Magazine got the first major look at the new game, and Payne’s almost comically tormented mug will appear on the cover of their next issue.
We heard that the third installment in the series take place three years after the events of part two. NYC is no longer the setting–Payne is working as a private security contractor in São Paulo. We’re guessing this game will trade in the gritty darkness of New York noir for the blindingly tequila-soaked violence of its new setting.
Frankly, we’re pleased with that change in direction. Another attempt to show off this character in the same setting as his last two adventures might prove to be redundant.
The game will also stay on top of current technology advances, with original voice actor James McCafferty returning to the role, but this time acting it out with a motion capture suit.
The first two Max Payne games delivered addictive gameplay and clever, tongue-in-cheek scripts. With the third installment headed our way, we’re hoping for, at the very least, more of the same.
