Lucidity: LucasArts Makes a 2D Puzzle Platformer
By Benjamin Opal
The young folk may not remember this, but LucasArts used to be a purveyor of original video game ideas — The Secret of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, to name a couple — not just a churn for one Star Wars-based game after the next. So, good for LucasArts returning to its roots, announcing a new IP called Lucidity. The game is like a platformer in reverse, in which the main character, Sophie, marches uncontrollably forward in a 2D environment. It’s your job to arrange the environment so that Sophie can safely pass. We should see this one pretty soon, scheduled for September release on PC and Xbox Live Arcade.
