How Long Will Halo Last? Six Years Minimum.

Just in case you thought Microsoft was going to cash out its chips after next year’s Halo: Reach and call it quits on the franchise, here’s 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor to remind you that you’re a fool: “We do have a plan that goes out at least six years,” he told USA Today. “Eventually, it will become very apparent that there is a plan for the way the canon all ties together and the way the comic books and the novels all tie together.”
Good. Because right now the plan I see goes something like this: End every video game in a cliffhanger so the door’s always open for a sequel. In the interim, put out books, action figures, energy drinks, Doritos and maybe even a movie to keep that cash cow pumping. It’s still art as long as it all ties together in the end, right?
