Holiday Niceties: Donate Your Black Friday Savings to Child’s Play

We’ve been covering our fair share of Black Friday gaming deals, and the folks at Wired’s GameLife had a nice thought that I figured was worth passing on: If you plan to cash in on some sweet gaming deals this Black Friday, why not donate those savings to Child’s Play? The organization, founded by Penny Arcade, provides games, toys and movies to hospitalized children in need. So you’re not only giving the gift of gaming, you’re giving it to kids who could really use the pick-me-up. Donations are accepted by Paypal, and you can also look up the wish lists for participating hospitals around the country if you want to give a specific gift.

So why not pick up a $10 copy of Grand Theft Auto from Walmart and donate the $10 extra you would’ve spent at Gamestop to a good cause? Because when you’re tearing through Liberty City, mowing down pedestrians with your sedan, it’s nice to know that you’ve also made a sick child happy. [via Wired]
