horsegaga Get Ready for Horse Gaga, From Ubisoft

Ubisoft just filed a trademark application for “Horse Gaga,” suggesting that the game publisher ran out of ideas and is now taking to the Video Game Name Generator for its future titles. The application only says this for details:

Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game for others over global and local area computer networks and providing information on-line relating to computer games, video games and computer and video games related products.

Perhaps more interesting is that Ubisoft also registered the horsegaga.com domain. This is no late April Fool’s joke; everything was trademarked and registered last week. A couple of commenters on Kotaku speculate that this will be some sort of addition to Ubisoft’s Petz franchise. So, Gaga for Horsez? Petz Lady Gaga edition? My guess is that Ubisoft’s just covering its bases and filing a bunch of trademarks for terms related to the game. Because no publisher would actually release a video game called Horse Gaga, right? Right? [Kotaku via CVG]
