Get EA Game Stuff For Chugging Dr. Pepper
By Lawrence SonntagElectronic Arts and Dr. Pepper have partnered to offer soda connoisseurs some exclusive DLC for knocking back some soft drinks.
The official rules list Mass Effect 2, Battlefield Heroes, The Sims 3, Spore, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 specifically, but also stipulates that “additional games may be available based on EA game release dates.” It doesn’t detail exactly what this DLC will be, but oddly enough points out that “once all DLC content has been redeemed various options of other electronic downloads will be available as prizes.” I wasn’t aware that DLC could run out, given that it’s digital and all, but there you have it. Perhaps we’ll see some Dr. Pepper avatar shirts in the offing before long.
Codes can be found on caps for specially marked Dr. Pepper bottles from Jan. 1 – Mar. 31, then again from Jul. 1 – Dec. 31. Codes can also be found in stickers on fountain cups, and obtained from 7-11 stores somehow though the rules don’t go into detail about that process.
Redeeming these codes doesn’t appear to be an entirely simple process, as one will need an EA and a Dr. Pepper account, and will have to answer three questions upon registering each code which are probably market-researchish in nature. Still, when surveying the soft drink altar at 7-11, I’d rather pick the drink with free game stuff than the one without. Doesn’t hurt that Texas is a Dr. Pepper state either.

Just wish I lived in the US now.
Hope someone can hook me up with it.
