From Paris With Love Stars Totally Aren’t Into Video Games
Feb 04, 2010 - By Jared Newman
Upcoming action flick From Paris With Love would theoretically make a decent video game (no word on that), but stars John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers wouldn’t know much about that. Speaking to IGN, the From Paris With Love leads revealed just how little gamer cred they have. ”I’ve never played Grand Theft Auto,” Rhys Meyers said. “I have played Super Mario Bros. I’ve never played Prince of Persia, or Creed — now, Assassin’s Creed I think would make a great movie.”
Rhys Meyers said he does own a Wii and enjoys Wii Fit, but instead of playing video games growing up, he was a pool hustler. “You can’t make money playing video games but you can certainly make it from some dumb guys with a pool cue.” I think Fatal1ty would beg to differ.
Travolta didn’t fare much better. He said he’s played two video games of note: Pac-Man, and “a new little game where you land airplanes.” He’s probably talking about Flight Control for the iPhone and iPod Touch. I can’t fault these guys for choosing to do other things with their time besides gaming, but if someone ever does create a From Paris With Love video game, I’d probably want some voice actors who know a little more about the art.
