L.A. Noire Screens Exclusive New L.A. Noire Screens Feature Bare Knuckle Action

Rockstar Games does not know quit, with each new release the publisher showcases games high in replay value and their dedication to high quality visuals. L.A. Noire will be no different.

The lifelike animations of the in-game characters are the best do date. Rockstar has dropped off several fresh new screens revealing how fearful players should be about the video game “uncanny” valley.

Players take on the role of a Los Angeles detective in 1947, tasked with solving crimes and looking over murder scenes. L.A. Noire gives players the ability to interrogate NPCs and use facial expressions as clues during their investigations. Gameplay details remain sparse at this point, but hopefully Rockstar releases a series of screens showing some gunplay and action.

So far the news around L.A. Noire is on the facial animation system which we’re hoping turns out to be a great feature and used in future video games. But we’re gamers, not art-house fans. Before everyone falls asleep from the investigation mechanics Rockstar needs to give up some details on shooting and driving. Besides, doesn’t Batman: Arkham City already make you a badass detective in a largely open-world?

We love Rockstar, but players need to know if they’re going to be playing an investigation simulator or a kickass open-world title?

Readers, do you have a clue about what’s going on with L.A. Noire?

Gamers can be art-house fans too you know. Don't make it sound like we're shallow COD fans. I am very much looking forward to this title and NOT for the shooting sequences

Could you be anymore ignorant? The focus of the game is the investigations, how exactly is that boring or make people "art-house fans"? Not every game needs TEH SHOOTING!!!111

No wonder Call of Duty is so goddamn popular.

It's a detective game based on the era where the Mafia was in charge, of course there's going to be action, have you even watched the video with the gunplay? It's not as featured in other games because it's about the investigation and the chase, I'm sure there will be free roam with random crimes and what not, just be patient.
