Electronic Gaming Monthly Returns Dec. 1

Print is dead? Feh. Electronic Gaming Monthly has already been to the river Styx, and now it’s set to return at the start of December, according to a Tweet from founder Steve Harris. The magazine was given the axe in January, when publisher Ziff Davis sold the online version, 1UP.com, to UGO, but not the print edition. Harris, who was EGM’s founder, picked up the rights, and now plans to revive the renowned publication, and not just as a print entity. He told Publishing Executive that digital content like video will be included within the pages of the magazine (huh?) and with “a digital device included with each issue.” Whatever that means, it can’t be any worse than Maxim’s gaming coverage.
