Check Out These Realistic Wii Pistols
By Benjamin Opal
Manly men have probably migrated from the Wii by now, but maybe MoProUSA’s frighteningly realistic Wii pistols will lure them back. Engadget got the scoop on these beasts, which are still in prototype mode, otherwise you’d probably see a big, orange “not a real gun” stripe running across the top or something. MoProUSA hopes to get an investor interested in the utility patent in order to bring these crazy Wii guns to market. So get on that, investors.
MoProUSA’s flagship gun is Duel Pro, and it’s the real marvel of the group. No Wii Remote or Nunchuk necessary here, as the controls are actually built right into the casing. There’s an analog joystick nub on either side of the gun, accommodating lefties or righties, with the other controls on top. The Duel Eagle and Duel Agent, both in white above, are more akin to Nyko’s Perfect Shot, with a slot for a regula Wii Remote on top of the gun. All the guns have color-changing LEDs on the back to signal when you’ve hit a button. Just one thing: If the Nunchuk and remote are fused into one, you’ll have trouble with games where you have to move both controllers in opposite directions. Small compromise to pistol whip your way through Wii Sports Tennis. [via Engadget, thanks Lonald!]
