Folks who read the last pages of books first will be pleased to know that Halo: Reach’s ending is posted to YouTube in glorious high-definition. From the couple seconds I’ve watched, it looks legitimate, but to give you a last chance to avoid temptation, I’m not going to embed the video here. Just hit the link above or search for “Halo: Reach ending” on YouTube. I’m guessing Microsoft will try to take down these videos as fast as they’re going up, but we all know how genies and bottles work.

Robbing a GameStop is no small crime in St. Tammany Parish, La., where 29-year-old Gregory Reaux was sentenced to 40 years in prison on three counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. Reaux was convicted last month of robbing four GameStop stores, using a boxcutter as a weapon and wearing a torn-off shirt sleeve as a mask. Police caught him, box cutter in hand, during a stakeout, based on a description given by GameStop clerks who were previously robbed. For each of the four counts, State Judge August J. “A.J.” Hand sentenced Reaux to 10 years, served consecutively.
Browsing for video games is usually pretty fun, except when all the games are trapped behind glass so you can’t actually examine the box. Target was guilty of this practice, but no longer. The retailer has reorganized its gaming department with open shelves, so you can peruse to your heart’s content.
Kratos just put every Subway Sandwich Artist on notice, or at least this kid did, creating an epic peanut butter and jelly sandwich in God of War style. The camera man nailed the angles, and the Kratos wannabe does an admirable job of imitating the God of War’s mannerisms, even if he lacks the buffness. Am I the only one who gets nervous when he takes the knife to the jelly jar? Good show. [via The Escapist]
When Mega Man fan CutmanMike teased us earlier this year with a video of Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch, I must admit I was skeptical we’d actually get to play it some day. But here’s a fully-playable demo, which includes both a single-player campaign with bots and a multiplayer mode. The Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch demo is free, and even though it’s based off Doom 2, you don’t need that game to play it. If you don’t have time to get fragging right now, here are my impressions from a 40-minute play session this morning:
Fear not, Cavs fans, LeBron James may have scorned you for the Miami Heat, but the move seems to have negatively impacted his health, as seen in this screenshot from NBA 2K11. The basketball superstar, donned in a Heat jersey for the first time, appears to have come down with a serious case of the chicken legs. Or maybe the curse bestowed by the Cavs’ majority owner Dan Gilbert is worse than expected. Or whoever did this computer model needs disciplinary action.
The problem with free indie PC games is not that there’s a shortage of them, it’s that there are too many. Sure, you could go to a Web site and read reviews, but it could take forever to scratch your particular itch. You could get a recommendation from friends or forums, but you’ll probably end up hearing about the same few classic indie games ad nauseam. Instead, just watch this video from Pixel Prospector, which shows 235 free indie games in 10 minutes. Just hover over the video window, and you’ll see the name of each game, with links to longer videos, themselves linking to the download page. By minute two, you’ll be filling your download queue, which creates another problem: Too many video games to play. [via The Kartel]
Sure, you don’t go to arcades anymore, but maybe you would if they had some of the wacky games Sega plans to release in Japan this year. Here are three of my favorites from a private show that Sega held over the weekend, as spotted by Japanese site 4Gamer.
Call it a sign of the (motion-controlled) times. Link, the iconic protagonist in The Legend of Zelda series, is historically a lefty, but not so in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Over at Kotaku, Stephen Totilo noticed that Link’s become quite proficient wielding a sword with his right hand. This isn’t the first Zelda game where Link goes righty — the same was true in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
