Canabalt Made Better as a Typing Tutor

The greatest appeal of Canabalt may be its one-button, minimalist platforming, but I welcome the added layer of complexity in Canabalt’s Typing Tutor edition. The core game is unchanged: You’re a faceless, suited man dashing through rooftops in a futile attempt to escape what looks like a robot apocalypse. A pulsing electronic soundtrack sets the mood, and you’d love to see what’s going on in the background if only you could afford to take eyes off the action for even a split second. Canabalt: Typing Tutor Edition adds to the hysteria by mapping the jump command to random keystrokes, which change more frequently as you gather momentum.
