Scarborough Fair Front Red Beat Bayonetta On Hard, Get Free Shirt

Hearkening back to contests of yore, Penny Arcade and Sega have partnered to run a promotional contest for Platinum Games’ recently released beat-em-up, Bayonetta.

The contest is described both on Penny Arcade’s website and Sega’s American Blog.  As described, the first 500 players to finish the game on hard and send a picture of the ending screen along with their Gamertag or PSN ID (for verification purposes) will receive a free t-shirt, designed by Penny Arcade friend Kiko.  The shirts are only available in size large, and if that is not sufficient, PA’s Tycho advises: “If that is too small for you, we’ve tested it, and it fits perfectly on lynxes or other mountain cats. You know. If you have one of those.”

Here are the rules in bullet-point format for those that lose equilibrium when faced with a brick of text:

  • Open Only To Those In The Continental US
  • Defeat Bayonetta On Hard, Earning The “Umbra Elder” Achievement/Trophy
  • Entries Must be Sent To bayonettacontest@gmail.com
  • Entry Must Include Your Gamertag/PSN ID, Photo Of Final Credits, And A Current Address
  • First Five Hundred Valid Entries Will Win A Rad Shirt
  • The Shirt Is Size Large

I love clothing that have stories attached, so this particularly tickles my fancy.  I’m sure I’m already out of the running given my status as “employed,” but it’ll be fun to try nonetheless.
