Atari Paddle Reborn as Square Wave Synth

This Atari paddle controller was once suitable only for Breakout, Circus Atari and a bunch of other random games. Fortunately, Michael Rucci repurposed this relic to be a square wave synth for your next rave.Press the trigger and you get a nice, fat square wave. Flick the switch for pulsing tones, the rate of which can be adjusted with the small knob on the bottom. And of course, the big knob adjusts pitch. The world is your oyster, baby.
No word on how to make one of these if you’ve got an Atari paddle stored away somewhere, but you can buy one from Rucci’s Etsy shop. They’re $35 each, plus $10.70 shipping in the United States. [Make via ExtremeTech]
