Arcade Game Propaganda Posters Are Quite Convincing
By Jared Newman
Oh, how different the world would be if arcade game advertisements from the 80s were actually stylized pieces of propaganda. On second thought, we’d probably be just as hooked on games like Joust, Frogger and Donkey Kong, perhaps even more so. If you love video game posters and haven’t shelled out for Justin Russo’s minimalist creations, perhaps these video game propaganda posters will do the trick. They’re from artist Steve Thomas, whose created six in total based on five retro arcade games: Joust, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug and Tron. Might have to grab one or two of these on Zazzle. They start at $12 for 11-by-16 inches up to $42 for a monstrous 35-by-52 inch print. [Steve Thomas via BoingBoing]
