Another Batman Title in Development?
By Joseph Oliveto
Batman: Arkham City looks as though it will be at least as good as its surprisingly stellar predecessor, but according to G4, we have reason to believe that there may be yet another Batman game in the works.
This conclusion was arrived at when it was discovered that Warner Bros. has registered a few interesting domains, with names like BatmanHush.com, and, more interestingly, BatmanHushGame.com.
Those familiar with all things Batman will know that “Hush” likely refers to a storyline within the comics written by the arguably underrated Jeph Loeb (underrated in that he deserves some of the respect that Frank Miller gets). It doesn’t exactly scream “video game material,” but who knows, maybe we’ll be surprised.
Sure, the word “Game” in that particular domain name may refer to something other than “video game,” but we can’t think of what else.
Well, while we’re usually unimpressed with games based on comic book characters, the last time the Caped Crusader was the subject of a video game, we got Arkham Asylum, so we’re hoping that this one, if it truly is in development, works out equally well. It might just inspire some developers to take these properties seriously for a change.
Would you play a game based on the Hush storyline?
