If you’ve ever seen a mother wander into a GameStop, bewildered, you know the pitch: If you’re going to buy the Wii, the store employee says, why not pick up a copy of Wii Play with a bundle Wii Remote? It’s only $10 more than the controller alone, and you get a new collection of mini games just like Wii Sports. So it’s no surprise that the $50 game and Wii Remote bundle is America’s best-selling game of the decade, with 11.1 million sales since its February 2007 launch. Even for more savvy gamers, this $50 deal seems like a no-brainer, even though I can’t recall the last time anyone has declared a hankering for Wii Billiards, Find Mii or Tanks. If you’re wondering, second place goes to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with 8.25 million sales. [IGN via Edge]
